Gift Solicitation Directive:

This policy document is provided to clarify for members how to proceed when they wish to ask for a donation from an organization.

Disenrollment Directive:

This policy documents was written for Flotilla Commanders to assist them in understanding the administrative processes involved with disenrollment, retirements, and transfer of a member. It also explains the timelines and forms associated with the process.

D17 Operations Order:

This is an annual policy document released by the Captain of the Prevention Division at D17. It outlines all responsibilities for Auxiliary Operations for the current summer season. D17 Command Center, DIRAUX, Order Issuing Authority, Sector and unit responsibilities are outlined as well as Auxiliary responsibilities. Recommendations for changes to this document for future summer seasons should be emailed to the D17 OTO copy the DSO-OP.

AUXSARDET Instruction:

This policy document outlines current policy for the D17 Auxiliary operated SAFEBoats in Seward, Homer, and Whittier. An annex will soon be published for the Petersburg SAFEBoat. The AORs are clearly outlined in one enclosure to this document. NOTE: These AORs are for the SAFEBoat in that port. Flotilla OPFACs in that same port may have greater AORs due to the capabilities of some OPFAC platforms.

Awards Directive:

This policy document was written to provide easier guidance to all members for submitting worthy Auxiliarists for Coast Guard Auxiliary awards. The Awards Worksheet was written with simplicity in mind. D17 DCO's Awards Board for Citations signed by Coast Guard officers consists of all D17 District Auxiliary Board Members.

Grant Directive:

This policy document was written to provide all Flotilla Commanders with clear direction on how to submit grant applications/proposals through the D17 Auxiliary Chain of Leadership.

Inland Waters Directive:

This policy document was written to provide guidance regarding additional requirements for qualification to participate in the Inland Waters Patrol Program. Currently, the Fairbanks flotilla operates an Inland Water Patrol Program. This program could be expanded to additional inland areas in D17.

PPE Memo:

This policy memo was written in 2003. It reflects policy for Auxiliarists involved in operations regarding personal protective gear.

New Fueling Procedures Memo:

This policy memo outlines the current procedures for obtaining & getting reimbursed for fuel while on Patrol Orders.

New Minimum Crew Requirements Memo :

This policy memo was written in 2005 as the new version of the Auxiliary Operations Policy Manual (OPSPOLMAN) was about to be signed. It reflects policy for Auxiliarists involved in operations on procedures for Operational Facility (OPFAC) owners who wish to request a waiver to the new minimum crew requirement. The waiver must be requested annually.

Flotilla Newsletters
